I'm normally not much of a morning person, but since Emma arrived she has forced me to be. And really & truly, I haven't been that pleasant of a morning person until about 17 days ago. 17 days ago, I started the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. The first few days were hard, but then my energy level shot out of the roof. If you want to know more about the 24 Day Challenge-check it out here! The other thing I started doing was getting up at 5am...yes, you read that right 5AM! I figured if I get going at 5, by the time Emma gets up I'd have a lot of things done around the house. I get up, have my Spark (Advocare Energy Drink) and have my quiet time. It's great really---me, my Bible, and a little time with the Good Man upstairs. I have been blessed & refreshed by this time & I don't plan on stopping. My heart is full, my relationship with the Lord is growing, and I'm a more pleasant person throughout the day.
So today, I'm thankful for my morning quiet times. Refreshing. Quiet. Rested time with my Lord.
"In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." - Psalm5:3
